Cotton Merchants

A successful cotton merchant, B. T. Adams owned the house that is now the 1842 Inn from 1908 to 1927. During the Adams family’s ownership, minor interior changes were made, including the installation of the distinctive glass front doors bearing the letter “A.” This guest room, inspired by Adams’s legacy, is located in the Victorian Cottage.

The room features a four-poster, king-sized bed and it offers added comfort with a whirlpool bath in the bathroom. While the fireplace is non-working, the space offers modern conveniences including a table or desk, television, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free parking, making it ideal for both relaxation and productivity.
